Chartworld and Sternula With a Groundbreaking Demo
For the exhibition, we partnered with Chartworld, a company developing a state-of-the-art ECDIS capable of displaying S-100 data.
We demonstrated the simulation of two data transmissions, a S-124 (Tsunami Warning) and S-421 (Route Plan Exchange), with live visual updates on the ECDIS display.
Having an integrated bridge system compatible with AIS 2.0 is a huge step toward making VDES a worldwide operational reality.
Visiting a TST Corporation Office
Our long-term partner TST Corporation invited Sternula representatives to one of their offices.
TST Corporation, a VTS port operator, showcased what it takes to oversee maritime activities in Yokohama Bay.
The company is a front runner in testing VDES and supplementary technologies through real world use-cases. TST Corporation is committed to a full-scale implementation of VDES, highlighting the need for digitalization, optimization, and improved safety for the maritime industry.
