PASUVO

New Port Arrival System Project

Sternula is proud to announce the launch of PASUVO – Port Arrival System Using VDES and Data-Driven Optimization, a new project focused on improving the way vessels and ports coordinate arrivals.

Our partners on the PASUVO project are: Sternula Japan and Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology (TUMSAT) This combination of industry expertise, operational experience, and academic research will support the development and validation of the Port Arrival System in real maritime use cases.

PASUVO combines secure ship-to-port communication with data-driven Just-in-Time arrival.

VDES and the Maritime Messaging Service (MMS) will provide the communication and information-exchange foundation between ships and port stakeholders. While
Historical and real-time AIS data will be used to support route, speed, and arrival-time optimization based on vessel and port conditions.

Together, these technologies are intended to support a more coordinated and predictable port arrival process while integrating with existing maritime systems.
