Sternula and TST Corporation Form Joint Venture - Sternula Japan
Sternula and TST Corporation are pleased to share the launch of Sternula Japan, a new joint venture designed to meet the growing demand for advanced maritime digitalization in Japan. This partnership marks a significant step forward in unlocking the potential of AIS 2.0 (VDES and supplementary technology) in the region.
We have been present on the Asian market for several years, but the official launch of Sternula Japan solidifies our determination and commitment to Japanese maritime operations.
Ocean Policy Research Institute of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation
At an event organized by the Ocean Policy Research Institute of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, Sternula Japan and the AOS Consortium presented a demonstration of an S-124 Navigational Warning, specifically a tsunami warning.
The data was successfully transmitted via VDE-SAT (VDES satellite) utilizing the satellite Ymir-1, showcasing the possibilities of stronger connectivity in Japanese waters with VDES.
The OPRI event cements a milestone in Sternula’s international success. A benchmark for future projects and the commercialization of AIS 2.0.
